On April 2019, Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning opened a new sales office in Dubai. This marked the beginning of a multi-faceted plan to expand the presence of Hitachi Cooling & Heating in the region of the Middle East and Africa.
New Regional Structure Dedicated to the Hitachi Cooling & Heating brand
Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning is the joint venture between Hitachi Appliances, Inc. (now Hitachi Global Life Solutions, Inc.) and Johnson Controls, Inc. established in 2015. From its global headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, it leads the development and manufacturing of Hitachi climate controls solutions, which are sold in more than 80 countries today. Setting up a dedicated branch for activity in the Middle East and Africa, a team of 11 of highly motivated associates and HVAC specialists are working to deploy the newly refreshed Hitachi Cooling & Heating brand. A new website and social media platforms for the region have been launched to enhance brand presence and to support communication with all the customers.
A Solid Network of Local Channel Partners
With an existing network of 20 local distributors in 12 middle-eastern countries and territories, Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning Middle East & Africa is significantly increasing its local footprint. “We want to partner with experienced specialists of HVAC, who are looking to provide energy efficiency and quality equipment to the region, especially with the latest technology and new products launched for the Middle East Region” explains Ahmed Aqel, General Manager Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning MEA.
The strategy is to keep supporting the logistics, regional product specification and training to ensure that its partners can support state-of-the-art installations, to enhance the current market and deliver faultless air conditioning to the region.
Special Products for the Middle-East Market
Hitachi Cooling & Heating offer air conditioning solutions designed especially to match the local needs in the Middle-East. “All the products we offer have been tested and certified to deliver reliable cooling on the hottest days when the outdoor temperature reaches up to 55°C. Moreover, it’s not only about running reliably but running efficiently. In that sense, our Hitachi products reach some of the highest levels of energy savings in hot climate conditions” says Ahmed El Dessouki, Regional Senior Manager Product & BOD, Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning MEA.
With an extensive portfolio of air conditioning solutions, from small room air conditioners to large VRF systems. Hitachi Cooling & Heating can accommodate all types of projects.
Some of our latest innovations include VRF outdoor units with a maximum single system capacity of 72HP with enhanced design and performance, intelligently designed to meet the requirements of various buildings with regards to scale and architecture as well as air conditioning needs.
Also, the newly launched suite of IoT apps called airCloud lets you control your air conditioning from anywhere, applicable to both residential and VRF systems. Through intuitive interfaces, airCloud Home and airCloud Pro homeowners and professionals can create and manage comfort directly from their smartphones when on the go.
Hitachi Cooling & Heating Training Center in Dubai
All customers and partners of Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning Middle East & Africa can visit the state-of-the-art facility in Dubai. The showroom and training center accommodate all Hitachi Cooling & Heating products, which are fully installed and operational. This is the opportunity for the guests to appreciate the smart and compact design of Hitachi solutions for themselves, as well as experience the quiet noise level produced during our air conditioners operation.
Optimistic in the New Normal
Despite the COVID-19 economic downturn, the team keeps eyeing on growing business in the region. “We see a lot of opportunities for us. Hot weather won’t change, AC is still needed. However, we see the demand shifting towards more reliability and better indoor air quality. It’s a perfect match for us, as we offer superior quality, and ventilation solutions as well as innovative technologies for cleaner air” says Ahmed Aqel, General Manager Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning MEA.
